Career counseling and outplacement

Do you dream of a working life with better balance between work and personal life?

About finding your first or next leadership job?

Maybe you are more concerned with finding a job where your personal values match the company’s value set?

You know your desires and dreams best.

Regardless of them arising in relation to a resignation, a leave of absence or something completely different, the focus of re:load career counseling and outplacement is to help you tune into what your future working life should contain and how you will get there.

As your personal career advisor, I act as a sparring partner and help you to clarify, structure and act on the points that are essential to achieving the goal of finding or creating the working life that suits you, your values and your needs.

What does career advice and outplacement involve?

Career counseling and outplacement can consist of many elements. Typically, we move through four phases in the process.

Clarification:

  • What is your current situation?
  • What do you dream of working with?
  • What framework is needed for you to thrive in your work?

Goals:

  • Which job fulfills the most elements from your clarification?
  • Which alternative jobs or forms of work are relevant to you?

Structuring and strategy:

  • What is the right strategy on the way to your next job?
  • Review and update of materials such as resume, application and LinkedIn

Execution:

  • You act on the agreed points
  • I coach and advise you along the way

As a career counsellor, I take my point of departure on where you need my support and expertise. Perhaps you need conversational training? Maybe you lack inputs on how to approach the unsolicited job search? Or are unsure on how to search for a relevant network?

There may be many questions shaped by the direction in which you are moving. This is exactly where you get the benefit of having a confidential sparring partner who has several years of experience within recruitment at director, manager and specialist level.

How long does it take to get a good job?

Depending on the role you are working towards there can be a difference in how long it typically takes to get a good job.

Most people will usually be well under way in 3-6 months. If you work in top management the process often takes longer, which is why I also offer career counseling and outplacement courses for 12 months duration.

If the counseling is about getting back well after e.g. leave, then a course of 3 months will typically be sufficient. During that period I offer both advice and counseling to the employees and managers to ensure a smooth transition back into the job.

I am happy to have a short, non-binding conversation on the phone to discuss your needs and which process that matches you.

Maja's positive attitude and energetic spirit always gave me encouragement and the ability to face rejection and various discouragements in job hunting.

More than that, Maja has the talent to design a tailor-made plan for the candidates. Based on my strengths and weaknesses, she provided related resources and materials and helped me expand my network.

After her professional guidance and mock interviews, I embarked on a successful path to find a job.
